Lapland, Finland

It feels like I'm in Narnia here, surrounded by a white wonderland of snow covered trees and northern lights up above. Last night I stood naked by a fireplace in a glass igloo and my boyfriend of two years asked me to marry him.

I stepped out of the shower and found him sitting at the edge of the bed looking at the fire. I walked over to him and he stood up to hug me. He was shaking as he told me how much he loved me and how he couldn't imagine his life without me. He then got down on one knee and showed me the most beautiful ring.

My eyes widened and I almost put it on myself but I remained calm, said yes, then he put it on my finger. “I love you,” I said smiling, “I love that I'm naked right now," we both laughed.

We then sat down and looked into each other's eyes and cried. We don't have it figured out, this is foreign territory. We are just two souls who want to take off all our armor. We want to be loved, cherished, respected and taken care of. We want to have amazing life experiences and help provide amazing life experiences for our friends, family and future child.

I looked at him and I saw my whole life, before him and with him. I saw our completely open and free future that we get to create together.

As I gazed at my diamond, round like the moon, held in a gold crown, I saw my mom, purple flowers, my Nani naming me princess. I saw Queen Kylie written on a sand castle and the man of my dreams watching me smile.

He said I'm his queen and that's how I feel in this moment. It’s just me and him in the middle of know where, his heart and my heart doing our best.
